Books That Should Be On Your List If You’re a Crime Reader

I read a lot of crime novels, most of them true ones. Here are some true crime books that you should put on your list to read list:

  1. Shattered Silence: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer’s Daughter by Melissa G. Moore
  2. Picture Perfect: The Jodi Arias Story by Shanna Hogan
  3. Finding Me: A Decade of Darkness, a Life Reclaimed, A Memoir of the Clevland Kidnappings by Michelle Knight
  4. Dancing With Death: The True Story of a Glamorous Showgirl, her Wealthy Husband, and a Horrifying Murder by Shanna Hogan
  5. In Cold Blood by Truman Capote
  6. A Mother’s Reckoning by Sue Klebold
  7. Lucky by Alice Sebold
  8. The Wild Truth by Carine McCandless *
  9. A Child Called It by Dave Peltzer

*I don’t think this is necessarily a book about crime, however, Carine and her brother Chris (the man who went to Alaska alone and was found dead of starvation several days later) grew up in an abusive family and I’d call that a crime.
